Why this matters
This flagship energy project will install 12 solar mini-grids in the Tambacounda region of Senegal, providing 24/7 clean electricity to 8,400 residents, 6 health centers and 18 schools. Each grid is community-managed and includes 30 years of maintenance training. Beneficiaries pay a symbolic monthly fee that funds local jobs.
